Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

I haven't had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in about five years. So why did I make one tonight? Mostly, we haven't been grocery shopping in about a month and I didn't feel like dirtying a pot with Pasta Roni. So I was looking through the cupboard for something (anything but Roni) to eat. I paused at a pile of chocolate bars from Perk (the ones the president of the company didn't like and told us to get rid of) but then continued on to a mysterious jar between the plates and wine glasses. Peanut butter. Creamy. Protieny. Peanut-buttery. I glanced to top of the fridge where we keep bread, and there was a whole-wheat loaf that I purchased this morning with some honey nut cheerios (they don't carry multi-grain anymore!) to make the minimum credit card charge at my local convenience store.
For jelly, I used my new favorite brand: St. Dalfour. They use only concentrated juice as a sweetener - no corn syrup. Yummy.

Anyways, the sandwich is exactly how I remembered it: too sweet, too dry, yet satisfying. It leaves me with a strange yearning for a juice box.

Peanut butter and Jelly Sandwich: 5.5 out of 10.

At least it doesn't get soggy.
